Mass. Child Welfare Official Resigns

Gov. Deval Patrick has accepted the resignation of the embattled chief of the state Department of Children and Families and appointed an interim leader.

The change comes after recent turmoil within the agency and extreme public criticism of its operation. WBUR's Delores Handy reports.
