Jacqueline Kennedy Letters Reveal Her Private Side

A series of letters written by Jacqueline Kennedy to an Irish priest has revealed new details about her closely guarded private thoughts.

She questioned her faith after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in one of the more than 30 letters written to the Rev. Joseph Leonard that were recently discovered in a drawer at All Hallows College and are set to be auctioned next month. They could fetch up to $1.6 million.

"I am so bitter against God," she wrote a few months after the assassination of her husband in one of the letters, which were first reported by the Irish Times.

In one letter sent over a 14-year correspondence, she writes about her early impressions of her future husband and how he was consumed by ambition.
