Portraits Of Boston: Punk Girl, Hollister Boy

“We met during our freshman year and he was scared of me. I had a huge Mohawk, and we didn’t talk for the first semester. I’m more of a punk girl, and he’s more of a Hollister boy.”

“She wants piercings….

“And he thinks they’re stupid. He doesn’t like art.”

“That’s not art! It’s not! I don’t consider it art. It’s not that I don’t like art, but I grew up with a different kind of art. My dad is an engineer and my mom is a teacher, so I grew up more with fine art and classical music.”

“And I grew up in a family that was into motorcycles, rock music, tattoos, and piercings. I grew up with Marilyn Manson, AC/DC, and Led Zeppelin.”
