After more than 50 hours of deliberations, a federal jury on Thursday found former Massachusetts Probation Commissioner John O’Brien guilty of several charges including racketeering and mail fraud.
Jurors also convicted two ex-probation employees on similar charges for helping to orchestrate a rigged hiring scheme that favored politically connected applicants.
Sentencing is scheduled for November 18.
