Forecast: Sunny Weekend Ahead With Highs In the 80s

There are no watches, warnings or advisories Friday not only here in New England, but you have to go all the way to Idaho before you find any weather watches or warnings. This is certainly a quiet weather period.

Friday afternoon clouds will build a bit and there could be a shower, especially in southern New Hampshire. Nearly all of us will stay dry however. The sunshine continues right through the weekend with highs in the lower 80s a very common theme. It will be a bit cooler right at the beaches.

The sun will rise around 5:45 a.m. each day and set just before 8 p.m. If you are headed to the beach the tides will be high in mid-to-late morning for east facing beaches, but check the charts for your area.

Winds will also be light turning onshore in the afternoon, which is why temperatures will fall back a bit along the coast.

The nice weather continues into next week till about Wednesday when clouds and the chance of showers returns to the forecast. This unsettled period looks to last a couple of days without much heat, but more in the way of humidity.

Today: Morning sunshine with building clouds in the afternoon. A small risk of a shower after 3 p.m. Highs near 80.

Tonight: Mostly clear and unseasonably cool. Lows in the 50s.

Saturday: Sunny and warm. Highs in the lower 80s.

Sunday: Sunny, highs in the lower 80s, cooler at the shore.

Monday: Sunny high in the lower 80s.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny highs approaching 80.
