Primary Candidates Making Final Pitch For Votes

Republican and Democratic candidates for governor are crisscrossing Massachusetts in a final push for votes before Primary Day.

The Republican contest pits Charlie Baker, the former Harvard Pilgrim CEO, against tea party-affiliated businessman Mark Fisher.

The Democratic primary features three candidates - Attorney General Martha Coakley, state Treasurer Steve Grossman and Donald Berwick, a former head of the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

One of the tightest primaries is the Democratic race for attorney general pits Maura Healey against Warren Tolman.

There's also a contested Democratic primary for state treasurer including Deborah Goldberg, Thomas Conroy and Barry Finegold. Three Democrats - Leland Cheung, Stephen Kerrigan and Mike Lake - are vying for their party's nomination for lieutenant governor.

Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
