Car Crash Kills Teen Driver In Winchester

Police are investigating an accident that occurred when a teenage driver left the road and crashed the vehicle, leaving him with fatal injuries in Winchester.

Police say the 17-year-old driver was pronounced dead at a hospital in Burlington. Police declined to release his name, citing his age.

Police say officers responded to the scene at 7 a.m. A preliminary investigation shows that the driver was traveling east on Manomet Road when his vehicle left the roadway and crashed.

Investigators are working to determine the facts and circumstances surrounding the crash.
