Rep. Lynch: Low Confidence In Secret Service

Massachusetts Democratic Congressman Stephen Lynch says he has very low confidence in Secret Service Director Julia Pierson's ability to protect the White House.

"I wish to God you protected the White House like you protected your reputation here today," Rep. Lynch told Pierson at a hearing Tuesday on Capitol Hill, where she testified about the Sept. 19 security breach when an Army veteran jumped the White House fence and made it well into the White House.

Pierson testified before the House Oversight and Government Reform committee and said the Secret Service showed restraint when it didn't shoot Omar J. Gonzalez. But she also said security wasn't properly executed the day of the breach. She said she is conducting a review.

Pierson has been director of the agency since March 2013.
