In Separate Chelsea Shootings, 1 Suspect Arraigned And A 2nd Sought

Authorities have released the name of the suspect in the second of two fatal shootings in Chelsea over the weekend.

Meanwhile, the suspect in the other case was ordered held without bail.

Police say they are looking for Antonio Rivera in connection with the fatal shooting at about 1:20 a.m. Saturday of 36-year-old Juan Carlos Rodriguez at the French Naturalization Club. Authorities said gunfire erupted after a verbal argument.

In an unrelated case, Hector Ramires was arraigned on a murder charge in the death of Catherine Gomez, killed a little over an hour before Rodriguez.

The district attorney's office says Gomez was shot inside her home. Police do not think she was targeted, but was the victim of a stray bullet fired during an altercation in the street.
