Ex-Sober House Manager Pleads Guilty To Child Porn Possession

The former manager of an Attleboro sober house has pleaded guilty to federal child pornography charges.

Michael Paterson pleaded guilty this week to possession of child pornography in U.S. District Court in Boston.

The Sun Chronicle reports that the 52-year-old Paterson is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 15.

Paterson was arrested in September 2013 when city police raided his room at a sober house after a resident of the facility tipped off police after seeing him watch child pornography on a television.

When police raided his room and car, they seized computers and hundreds of CDs and DVDs, which Paterson allegedly told police contained "millions" of images of child pornography. They also confiscated a stun gun and $73,000 cash.
