What would Boston landmarks look like as gingerbread houses?
The answer is provided by cookie versions of the State House, Longfellow Bridge, the Greenway carousel, the Old North Church, the Old State House and a runway at Logan Airport in the third annual exhibit of gingerbread houses at the Boston Society of Architects’ gallery, BSA Space in Boston, through Dec. 22. Oh, there’s also a gingerbread Hobbit house and scene from the 2003 film “Elf.”
Ten local architecture firms created the structures, which are up for online auction through the end of the show to raise money for Community Design Resource Center of Boston, which provides “pro bono technical assistance to community groups, nonprofits, and municipalities in projects that involve and benefit underserved communities throughout metropolitan Boston,” the nonprofit says.
