Police Subdue Chatham Man After Early Morning Standoff

A Cape Cod man has been arrested after police said he held three people at gunpoint in his Chatham apartment.

The Cape Cod Times reports that 28-year-old Christian Joseph Sica was arrested early Sunday on charges including kidnapping, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault on a police officer.

Police said they got a 911 call at about 4:45 a.m. that a man was holding three people hostage at an apartment on Chatham Bars Avenue.

Police said Sica told two men to leave the apartment, but forced a woman to stay. She later escaped and Cape Cod Regional SWAT Team members went inside.

Police said Sica resisted the officers and they used a stun gun to subdue him. Officers said they found a .45 caliber gun in the apartment.
