Gov. Baker Releases His First Budget Proposal

Gov. Charlie Baker released his first budget proposal Wednesday, in the face of a projected $1.5 billion shortfall.

The $38 billion proposal calls for a few spending increases, but for the most part keeps funding level for most state programs while reigning in spending growth.

WBUR's Asma Khalid was at the governor's budget announcement and joined All Things Considered to discuss the proposal. Listen to her report above.
