Boston Woman Held Without Bail In Fatal Stabbing

Police have made an arrest in the fatal stabbing of a Boston woman at a house party last October.

Takisa Matthews, who also goes by Takisa Williams, was arraigned in Dorchester Municipal Court on Tuesday on charges of murder and armed assault with intent to murder.

She was held without bail after not guilty pleas were entered on her behalf.

Prosecutors say the 30-year-old Matthews and 26-year-old victim Maria Sanchez were with different groups at the same party when a dispute broke out at about 4:30 a.m. on Oct. 18.

Matthews allegedly stabbed one of Sanchez's relatives, before stabbing Sanchez in the back.

The relative survived but Sanchez was pronounced dead at the hospital.
