3 Arrested In Slaying Of Boston Teen In Charlestown

Boston police have charged three men with murder in connection with the shooting last year of a 17-year-old boy in what was apparently a case of mistaken identity.

The victim, Ryan Morrissey, was with some friends outside a Charlestown convenience store on Nov. 5 when he and another young man were shot. Morrissey died several days later. The other victim survived.

Police say Julio Baez drove the getaway vehicle. The 24-year-old Baez was held without bail after pleading not guilty Wednesday to murder. His lawyer asked for lower bail, saying Baez was not accused of being the gunman.

Two other men, Danilo Soto and Alexander Soto, who are not related, are scheduled to be arraigned Thursday. Police say they actually fired the guns. It's unclear if they have lawyers.
