No Criminal Charges In Weymouth Snowplow Death

The driver of a snowplow that struck and killed a woman at a Weymouth condominium complex during a storm in February won't face charges.

Police had sought a charge of misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide by negligent operation against Louis Yeary after his truck struck and killed 57-year-old Cynthia Levine during a heavy snowstorm on Feb. 2.

Yeary was plowing the parking lot for the condo complex's management.

The Patriot Ledger reports that a clerk magistrate in Quincy District Court ruled that there's insufficient probable cause to support charges against Yeary.

Witnesses told police Levine had walked behind the backing up plow when she was struck. Levine, who lived at the complex, was pronounced dead at the scene.
