New England Energy Efficiency Conference Planned

Dozens of energy leaders and experts from across New England are meeting in Boston this week to explore and discuss the region's energy challenges and trends.

The Building the Backbone of Energy Efficiency conference is scheduled for Tuesday at the Federal Reserve Bank in Boston.

It is hosted by the New England Economic Partnership, Brandeis International Business School's Perlmutter Institute for Global Business Leadership and Massachusetts Business Roundtable.

Discussions are expected to include cost differences across the region, and the need to coordinate energy policies across the region's states. Among the challenges presented at the conference, energy experts will discuss what saved us from a brownout last winter - and what may make us vulnerable again next year.
