Forecast: Partly Sunny With High Near 75

It was cool along the coast this weekend, but things are going to change quite a bit this week. There is a lot of warm air in the center of the nation, and a piece of this will push into the area this week for a few days at least.

The big weather questions over the next few days will be first if there are any showers over Eastern Massachusetts and then just how warm does it become later this week.

The first couple of days this week feature a mix of clouds and sunshine with more in the way of clouds tomorrow, but more in the way of sunshine today. Highs will be in the 70s today and tomorrow. You might have heard there is a chance for showers today, but I think it’s basically such a small chance it’s not worth mentioning.

There is a slightly higher chance of a few showers tomorrow, but it’s even more likely you don’t see any shower activity. Tomorrow’s biggest change won’t be the showers, but the increase in humidity. The humidity will break a bit for Wednesday with a very nice and warm afternoon. Highs reach into the lower 80s inland and mid to upper 70s over Cape Cod.

Another front passes the region Thursday with some clouds and yet again a mention of showers. This system also looks rather weak so it might remain dry. Warm air tries to surge north for Friday and Saturday, but I am not convinced it makes it. Saturday is probably quite humid. Sunday is Flag Day and the weather looks great.

Monday: Partly sunny with a high near 75.

Monday night: Mostly cloudy and milder. Lows in the lower 60s.

Tuesday: A more humid day with a chance of afternoon showers. Highs in the upper 70s. Some sunshine breaking through the clouds at times.

Wednesday: Patchy fog before 7 a.m. Otherwise mostly sunny with a high in the lower 80s.

Thursday: Partly sunny and warm. It may shower. Highs in the mid 80s.

Friday: Mostly sunny with a high of 80 to 84.
