Bridgewater State University Daycare Worker Indicted In Rape Case

Prosecutors have announced indictments against a Bridgewater State University student accused of sexually assaulting children in his care while working as an attendant at the campus daycare center.

Plymouth District Attorney Timothy Cruz said a grand jury returned indictments Tuesday against Kyle Loughlin on two counts of aggravated statutory rape, two charges of aggravated rape of a child and six counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14. He was also indicted on one count of larceny from a building for allegedly stealing pairs of underwear from victims at the daycare facility.

Loughlin, who turns 22 Wednesday, pleaded not guilty to rape and indecent assault for allegedly sexually abusing two boys after being charged in March. Now that he's been indicted, he will be arraigned in Superior Court at a later date.

His lawyer could not immediately be reached for comment Tuesday.
