Man, 21, Convicted Of Raping UMass Freshman In Dorm

A second man has been convicted of raping a University of Massachusetts freshman in her Amherst dorm room nearly three years ago.

A Hampshire Superior Court jury took less than a day to find 21-year-old Justin King, of Pittsfield, guilty Wednesday on three counts of forcible rape.

King was one of four men charged with raping the woman in October 2012 after they drank alcohol and smoked marijuana. The woman said she told the men not to visit her, but they were allowed into the dorm by another student. They were not students but knew the woman.

Emmanuel Bile was convicted in March and is serving an eight- to 10-year prison sentence. Two other men await trial.

Sentencing is scheduled for Monday so the victim can be present.
