A park in Beverly is being renamed "Pete's Park" in honor of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge creator, Pete Frates.

The city council approved the name change of the Longfellow park in Centerville.

Community members are now raising money to make the park accessible to people with disabilities.

Meanwhile, Frates will join Gov. Charlie Baker and Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito Monday afternoon as the pair take part in the Ice Bucket Challenge.
