Water Main Break May Slow Driving To Manchester Airport

People driving to the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport may face some congestion to a major water main break in the area.

The break happened Wednesday morning on Brown Avenue from the 293 overpass northerly up to the South Beech Street intersection. Police say traffic traveling east and west on Route 293 will still be able to use Exit 2, affording travel south on Brown Avenue toward the airport or Litchfield.

Police said travelers to the airport should plan ahead due to the traffic congestion.

They said traffic won't be allowed on Brown Avenue northerly from the 293 overpass.

Traffic south on South Beech Street won't have access to Brown Avenue. All traffic will be detoured from South Beech Street to Presidential Road.

Bow Avenue will not have access from Brown Avenue.
