2 Hanukkah Menorah Lightings In Boston Scheduled For This Week
Two Hanukkah menorah lightings have been scheduled in Boston to celebrate the start of the eight-day Jewish Festival of Lights.
The city of Boston's menorah lighting was scheduled for 4:45 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6 on Summer Street in Downtown Crossing.
Mayor Marty Walsh is scheduled to be joined at the lighting of the 15-foot menorah by the Israel Consul General, Yehuda Yaacov, and Rabbi Rachmiel Liberman of Congregation Lubavitch Synagogue.
The lighting of an 18-foot menorah is scheduled to take place at the State House at 4 p.m. on Monday.
Gov. Charlie Baker and House Speaker Robert DeLeo are among the state officials scheduled to attend with Rabbi Liberman.
