I fully realize there are those of you reading this who want cold and snow, but there are probably a lot more of us who know winter will eventually arrive and the fact we have a sunny 60 degree day on the way is an absolute bonus this time of the year.
With high pressure off the coast, a southerly flow of very mild air for December will keep the region feeling like spring through the weekend with Saturday being my pick of the two weekend days. Of course this is a big shopping weekend with Christmas in two weeks and the final days of Hanukkah upon us.
Any fog this morning will burn off early and we will be left with a blend of clouds and sunshine for today after a slight chance of a drop of two of rain south of Boston. The weather will be nicest this afternoon as the clouds depart. It will really feel like spring and the evening is mild as well.
A similar setup is in store for Saturday with some morning fog and then sunshine returning with highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s in the afternoon.
Sunday brings back some clouds and cooler air from the north and east. I am expecting highs in the mid-40s over the North Shore to mid-50s west of Route 495. If you are headed further south and west it will be in the 60s!
The mild air continues early next week with a 60 degree day for Monday and then some showers later in the day or overnight. Tuesday, guess what? It’s a continued mild flow with highs 55-60 and sunshine. If you have your fall chores done, why not start the spring clean-up, it’s that nice!
