Forecast: Days Are Staying Warm And Getting Muggy; Light Showers Possible Tuesday

The weather was simply amazing again this weekend with brilliant sunshine, sea breezes, comfortable temperatures and all in all perfect weather for the final weekend of June.

It’s hard to imagine the year is now about half over. Summer is just getting under way and if the first month of meteorological summer is any indication, we are in for a stellar one. Things have been dry and the drought expanded over the weekend, but if you have had any outdoor plans lately, it’s been nice not to have to worry about rain.

Today is a repeat of the past few days with a few changes. It will be more humid and warm. A frontal system slowly approaches on Tuesday evening with the chance for a few showers.

At this point, Tuesday's showers look light. During the summer months, projected showers can really hit some places hard, while other areas receive no rain. Presently, Tuesday's showers are looking less and less like a lot of rain and more and more like scattered showers.

The best chance of rain will be over western New England Tuesday late in the day and overnight. In eastern sections, the highest threat of rain showers comes Tuesday night and early Wednesday, but it could turn out many areas see no rain at all.

Tomorrow is obviously going to bring a more refined forecast, and the chance for rain may increase or decrease further.

Drier weather returns Thursday and Friday, but it will be warm and very good beach days or vacation days if you are off heading into the holiday weekend.
