'I Come Here And I'll Be Like A Kid': Longtime Sox Fan Talks Opening Day At Fenway

Opening Day for the Boston Red Sox is Monday — it's an afternoon game at Fenway Park against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

To get ready for the season, as workers took care of some finishing touches at Fenway, I spent time there last week with Ed Jesser. Jesser is a semi-retired Democratic political operative in his 70s. He is Boston-born and bred, a life-long Sox fan and a Sox season ticket holder for decades.

We sat in his seats at Fenway, first row by third base and he talked about what keeps him coming back every season.
