New Vehicles Sought In Hit-And-Run Death Of 4-Year-Old In Milford

Police investigating the hit-and-run death of a 4-year-old boy are now looking for two new vehicles they say may have been involved.

Milford police were originally looking for a red Scion xB, but on Tuesday said they determined that was not the vehicle that struck and killed Jonathan Loja on Sunday. Police, however, said they would still like to talk to the vehicle's occupants because they may be witnesses.

Chief Thomas O'Loughlin said police are now looking for a dark-colored 2010 Chevrolet Traverse and a gray or silver 2015 or 2016 Nissan Rogue.

Police released surveillance images of both vehicles (below).

O'Loughlin says Loja had been visiting relatives on Easter and had apparently been playing with a yo-yo with some other children at the time he was struck and killed.
