This article is more than 3 years old.

The latest sexual assault allegation on Beacon Hill centers not on a lawmaker, but on the husband of one.

Four men, whose names are being withheld, have told The Boston Globe they were assaulted by the husband of Massachusetts Senate President Stan Rosenberg.

Some of them say Bryon Hefner touched them in unwelcomed ways more than once.

Rosenberg denies any knowledge of such events and says he would have intervened if he'd received any complaints.

WBUR State House reporter Steve Brown joined Morning Edition to discuss the mood at the State House and the political implications of these allegations.

This segment aired on December 1, 2017.
