An adult man was shot and killed Tuesday evening in Dorchester on Bowdoin Street, officials said.
Police said in a statement they were called to 344 Bowdoin St. at about 7:15 p.m. They pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Police had no further details.
The Boston Globe reports the person shot was a teenager. If so, this marks the fourth teenager shot and killed in Boston since Halloween, when a 16-year-old was killed in Jamaica Plain. Another teenager died and one was injured in South Boston at the end of November; a week later, two young men were shot, one fatally, after a basketball game in Mission Hill.
