Forecast: Warm And Sunny Weather Coming

I'd like to just forget about yesterday's weather. It was raw, it was chilly, there were even a few wet snowflakes during the morning close to Boston. Now the improvement begins with a warming trend and increasing amounts of sunshine for today.

The reason for the improving weather is a pesky low pressure system that was bothering us is moving up into eastern Canada. This is opening up the door for a southwesterly flow of much milder air.

Although today may start with some cloudiness, the trend will be for an increase in sunshine and temperatures will be above seasonal averages. Look for highs reaching the mid-to-upper 60s. With the wind coming from the land, even the coastline will be quite comfortable this afternoon.

Tomorrow is probably the best day of the week in terms of sunshine and warm weather in combination. I expect highs to reach well into the 80s. It will be a bit of a southwesterly flow of air so you'll notice the wind.

Thursday is still a very nice day with a lot of sunshine but also building clouds in the afternoon and the chance for a couple of showers. It will still be warm with readings in the 80s again.

A cold frontal system approaches on Friday and brings the chance for a few showers or a thunderstorm. Even with showers and storms in the forecast both Thursday and Friday the risk is not high and most of the time will remain dry.

Expect the weekend to be somewhere cooler and quite pleasant.
