This article is more than 1 year old.

Rental housing in Boston is getting more expensive.

A report from the real estate firm Reis, reviewed by the Boston Globe, finds that the average Greater Boston rent jumped to nearly $2,200 a month in the last quarter. That's a four percent increase over the same period last year.

The average rent in major metro markets across the country is just over $1,300 dollars a month.
