Cat Found Dead With Its Throat Slashed

A gruesome animal death is being investigated by police in Canton.

Police said they responded to a call about a dead cat in a parking lot on Arboretum Way Saturday morning.

Canton Police Chief Kenneth Berkowitz said officers found a cat bound with its throat slashed.

Police are asking anyone with information on the cat's death to reach out.

No further information is available on the circumstances of the death.

Canton is approximately 20 miles southwest of Boston.
