Forecast: Humidity Respite Will Be Brief

The air has lost some of its humidity over the weekend and this morning is more comfortable. This level of moisture won’t last long, as I already see signs of more humidity later this week. Temperatures will also be on the rise, reaching close to 90 several times in the next seven days. This means more above-average temperatures in what’s been a very warm month.

There is no chance for rain today or tomorrow, but a tiny chance, mostly well north and west of Boston the rest of the week. As the humidity rises this makes the chances for some showers easier.

High pressure off the Atlantic coast will continue to keep warmer-than-average weather across New England for the foreseeable future. While there aren’t any prolonged heat waves in the forecast, I also don’t see any days with cool refreshing summer polar air. This will likely mean most of you will be needing the air conditioning into early August.

Because high pressure will continue to be so strong, any showers will like wash out before reaching the coastline. This means a dry spell is starting back up again and you'll need to be watering, especially containers.

The tropics continue to be quiet for now, but as I have mentioned if something did develop in this current pattern New England would have the potential to be affected.
