Fire At Boston Building Displaces Dozens

Authorities say 11 people were injured and dozens of people were displaced by a fire at a Boston apartment building that housed mostly students.

The fire in the five-story building the city's Fenway neighborhood was reported just after 3 p.m. Saturday.

Seven residents were treated for smoke inhalation and four firefighters were injured, including two who were brought to the hospital with injuries not considered life threatening.

Many of the residents were students at Northeastern University, Emerson College and Berklee College of Music. Mayor Marty Walsh says his administration is working with the colleges to make sure the students have alternate housing.

The cause remains under investigation but Fire Commissioner Joe Finn says it appears to have started on the second floor and is not considered suspicious.
