Today's Weather: Cloudy. And Expect Some Rain This Weekend

Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day and this morning we start with a little bit of sunshine, but the trend is going to be for clouds to dominate our weather picture.

A slow-moving system from the west will bring inclement weather later today and all the way through Easter Sunday. I mentioned yesterday that there is a chance for showers for the next four days, but it would not rain all the time. Presently it looks like the wettest day will be Saturday, when showers are most likely. There's a chance of a little spotty shower activity or some drizzle later this afternoon and again tomorrow afternoon after a generally dry and cloudy day.

A more concentrated area of showers will move in for Saturday. This means that outdoor plans may be canceled on that day, along with everything requiring dry weather.

Temperatures will be chilly today, staying in the 40s most of the day, but a southerly flow of air will boost readings into the 60s for Friday and the weekend. You will even feel some humidity in the air this weekend.

This is a major weekend of religious holidays with Passover starting tonight, Good Friday, and then Easter is of course Sunday. Although I don't think we will see the sunrise on Easter because of the cloud cover most of the rain activity should be over. Any shower activity for Easter will be on the light side amounting to generally a trace to a tenth of an inch.

A frontal system passes offshore Sunday night and that will lead to clearing skies for Monday. Additional wet weather is possible sometime later next week as the pattern continues quite typical for April, but with abnormally warm conditions.
