Today's Weather: Nicer Weather Wednesday Won't Last

As the sun set yesterday, we saw a few glimpses of sunshine an indication of a better day today. This nice weather won’t last, however.

There is more rain on the way tonight and early Thursday. April ended up a wet month with 6.38 inches of rain. There were plenty of days with rain, but a lot of the events came overnight, straddling two days. This is part of the reason why the 21 days with rain last month set a new record for most days with rain in any month.

Overnight showers will become numerous and then taper to a drizzle tomorrow morning. Temperatures will only reach the upper 40s tomorrow. Friday is a bit better with readings in the 50s.

There are a lot of questions for the weekend. There will be a area of clouds and precipitation south of New England. Exactly where this low-pressure tracks will determine the type of weekend we have ahead. I don't want to condemn the weekend just yet, nor do I want to get folks excited about sunshine and relatively mild temperatures. We're just going to have to wait a couple of more days before things become clear, if they do. Stay tuned.
