1 Killed, 1 Injured In Overnight Rollover Crash In East Boston

One person was killed and another was injured in an overnight rollover crash in East Boston, police said.

The crash occurred at around 1:15 a.m. Sunday on Bennington Street, near the Orient Heights MBTA station.

One person died at the scene and the other victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

No names were released.

The vehicle that crashed sustained heavy damage and left debris scattered across the street.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
