Forecast: Another Fine Summer Day, But Showers Are Coming Tomorrow

It was a glorious Sunday across the region with lots of sunshine and very warm temperatures. The humidity remained low, making for a nearly ideal late June day and the first Sunday of summer.

We have another beautiful day to start the work week with plenty of sunshine, and it will be warm again. Although, today will feature a sea breeze keeping it much cooler at the immediate shore. If you are thinking of going to the beach, I suggest taking a light sweater, just in case that onshore wind starts to dominate.

The weather changes tomorrow as a warm front approaches. This divides the dry air we're enjoying today from the humid air we're going to have during the middle of the week. As this front passes north, it will bring showers and perhaps even a thunderstorm and a few downpours.

The rain looks fairly widespread and most of us will see a quarter of an inch to half an inch of rain, with some areas receiving over an inch in heavier downpours. The dew points are also going to go up.

Haven’t put your air conditioning on yet? You'll probably going to need it from Tuesday night through the rest of the work week.

On the other side of the front, we get into the warm, summery stuff. Wednesday through Friday feature more humid conditions and warm temperatures well into the 80s. A few spots may even nudge 90 degrees for the first time this season.

Another front pushes that warm air out to sea to start the weekend, and we will return to cooler conditions.
