Showers moved through the area overnight and we are still looking at leftover rain early this morning. The trend is going to be for more sunshine to return this afternoon, along with mild temperatures.
As a matter of fact, readings will be in the upper 60s and with the sun breaking through the clouds, it's going to feel quite nice.
Tomorrow is a stunning day with wall-to-wall sunshine and readings in the low to mid-60s. This time of the year, any of these days are welcome and certainly numbered.
The nice weather continues for Friday with a blend of clouds and sunshine ahead of a frontal system. This front will bring a couple of showers Friday night. The atmosphere is moving rather rapidly across the Northern Hemisphere right now, so you can expect changes every few days.
The start of the weekend looks grand, with plenty of sunshine and seasonably cool conditions. The next weather system will be rapidly approaching on Sunday. If the system moves really fast, then things will go downhill and we could see some showers before the end of the day. If it's a slower system, we could eek out another nice day on Sunday, but it's going to be a close call. I'm leaning toward showers before day's end.
It will be back to the nice weather for the start of the new work week, with sunny skies mixed with clouds, and temperatures about where they should be for the latter half of October — mainly in the upper 50s.
