Today's Weather: It's Damp And Chilly Out Again

It's another rather damp day with temperatures well below average and only reaching the lower 40s this afternoon.

The weather system moving through is rather weak but may produce a couple of rain showers.

I also can't rule out the chance you see some snowflakes. Temperatures are going to be well above freezing, however, so even if you saw snowflakes, they won't be sticking around.

Sunshine returns Thursday with temperatures in the mid-40s. It actually will feel pretty nice because it's been so cool and cloudy this week. If you're wondering if we have had a lot of days with some precipitation this year, you're correct. About half of the days as of late have officially seen some rain — although some of that precipitation fell at night.

On Friday, the day will start with some sunshine. But a cold front approaching from the west will bring a renewed chance for more precipitation. I don't expect a lot of rainfall, and temperatures will be fairly mild and getting into the 50s. We haven't had a lot of days since the first week of November where readings have been above average.

Saturday features a lot of sunshine and cool temperatures once again. We will have to watch a coastal storm for the second part of the weekend. There's still a lot of discrepancy in the ultimate configuration of the jet stream, so we'll just note that there's a chance for some rain or snow as we close out Saturday and begin Sunday.
