Police Are Searching For The Driver In A Southie Hit-And-Run
State police are asking the public to help them identify a hit-and-run driver who seriously hurt a person in South Boston on Monday.
A 60-year-old woman was crossing William J. Day Boulevard near K Street at about 7:17 a.m. when she was struck, police said in a statement.
The driver was believed to be in a mid- to late-2000s, silver or light beige Lincoln
Town Car with tinted rear windows. The front driver's side of the car was damaged in the collision, and its driver's side mirror was found broken off at the scene. (You can see a video of the suspected vehicle here.)
Police said the car hit the woman and knocked her to the ground before turning left onto L Street, then right onto Columbia Road.
The injured woman remains hospitalized.
