The dry conditions will be short-lived, however, as another storm heads toward the northeast.

This storm will be developing as it tracks from the Ohio Valley to southern New England by Saturday night, and will intensify southeast of Cape Cod on Sunday.

For the most part, the precipitation will be rain, but as the storm strengthens Sunday, colder air will rush in and possibly change the rain to snow before ending.

As the storm moves away, clearing will occur Sunday afternoon. It will be blustery and cold, with wind chills at 15 to 20 degrees by Sunday evening.
