Brockton Man Shot And Killed Outside His Home

Brockton and state police detectives are investigating the shooting death of a man outside his home Saturday night.

Police say they were called to the area of 117 Belmont Ave. in Brockton just before 9 p.m. for reports of shots fired.

After arriving, they found a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds inside a stairwell at that address. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police have identified the man as Ailson Barbosa, 22.

There have been no arrests. Anyone with information about the shooting is being asked to contact State Police Detectives.
