The man found inside a burning car with what appeared to be several gunshot wounds in Massachusetts this week was identified by authorities Tuesday as a Brockton resident.
Roberto Correa, 44, was found dead in the car in Sharon near the Canton line at about 1 a.m. Monday, according to a statement from the Norfolk district attorney’s office.
The initial investigation revealed the apparent gunshot wounds.
It was not clear where the shooting occurred.
The death remains under investigation and no arrests have been announced.
The car had recently been rented by another person who has been contacted by investigators, the district attorney’s office said.
