Police: Suspect Arrested In Dorchester Homicide

Police arrested a suspect Thursday night in connection with a fatal shooting in Dorchester earlier this week.

Yaliek Allah-Barnes, 37, of Mattapan, was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Dorchester District Court on a murder charge and gun charges, Boston police said in a statement. Allah-Barnes was arrested in the area of 1165 Blue Hill Ave. in Dorchester at about 7:50 p.m., police said.

On Monday afternoon, 49-year-old Derek Fitzpatrick, of Dorchester, was shot and killed in the area of 45 Bernard St., police said earlier this week.
