3 Tornadoes Touch Down In Mass. As Henri's Remnants Blow Through Area

Three tornadoes touched down in Massachusetts Monday afternoon, parting gifts from the remnants of Tropical Storm Henri.

The tornadoes, which touched down in Stow, Bolton and Marlborough, respectively, brought down some trees and branches. All three were rated EF-0, the lowest possible rating on the Enhanced Fujita Tornado Damage Scale, according to the National Weather Service.

"This is a first for me, we haven't had that happen here in Marlborough, but we've been part of other task forces that have responded to the tornado out in the Springfield area. But, not in Marlborough — it's not typical," said Marlborough Assistant Fire Chief Jeff Gogun.

What's left of Henri will continue to produce showers and thunderstorms through Monday evening and into the early hours of Tuesday, according to Meteorologist Dave Epstein.

"If it's not raining where you are now, everyone's going to get at least some showers overnight tonight," he said Monday afternoon.
