Watch Live: Trump addresses felony charges following New York arraignment

Former President Donald Trump will speak to the public from his home in Florida Tuesday night, just hours after he pleaded not guilty to 34 felony charges in a New York courtroom.

Trump had announced the primetime address before flying to New York to be processed and arraigned on the charges. Prosecutors in the indictment said Trump made a series of hush money payments about alleged extramarital affairs in 2016, because public knowledge of the trysts could be damaging to his presidential campaign.

During the hearing, the judge said he would not impose a gag order on the case but asked that everyone involved in the case refrain from making comments that could inflame civil unrest.

Trump is expected to speak at 8:15 p.m.
