In Burnsville, Minnesota, construction has begun on a golf course atop a former garbage dump. The new project is designed to collect methane gas created by rotting garbage and generate electricity for the city even as duffers above hook, slice and generate gas of their own. College football is big in Alabama, really big. The most hardcore Alabama Crimson Tide fans form a temporary community who drive their huge RVs from stadium to stadium, following their beloved team. Birmingham native, Warren St. John, currently a reporter for the New York Times, bought his own RV and rode with these people for a season. His book, "Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer." is chronicle of that season. St. John joins us from NPR's New York bureau to share some of his stories from the road.
