Music on Only A Game 9/5/09

This article is more than 10 years old.

Everytime I Eat Vegetables It Makes Me Think of You by The Ramones (from Subterranean Jungle, Sire Records, 1983)

Who knew that Joey, Marky, Johnny and Dee Dee were such romantics?

ESPN Sportscenter Theme by John Colby (from ESPN Presents Jock Rock, Volume 1, 1994)

You needed to hear this again, right?

People in Your Neighborhood by Bob McGrath (from Sesame Street Platinum, Sony Wonder, 1996)

Sesame Street appeals to toddlers and to adults as well. What special magic makes that possible? I guess it’s just the enduring genius of Jim Henson.

I had the happy opportunity to rediscover the program about ten years ago because my kids, who were toddlers then, were into it. That made me feeler younger than I was at the time. Just this week my daughter rediscovered Sesame Street, and that makes me feel kind of old, but in a good way.

Undone-The Sweater Song by Weezer (from weezer, Geffen Records, 1994)

Do you like sweaters? Sweaters are nice.

This program aired on September 4, 2009. The audio for this program is not available.
