After two weeks of snow sports, the Winter Olympics are coming to a close. Bill gives one last update and talks with John Powers of the Boston Globe about the winners, losers, and memories of Vancouver.

The men’s hockey semifinals were on Friday, but Bill is looking back 30 years to one of the most memorable games in American history. He’ll talk with Dave Silk of the 1980 Miracle on Ice team, and get his distinctive take on the Soviet upset.

Olympic withdrawal got you down? Only A Game has the cure! The Sochi House in Vancouver promotes the 2014 Winter Games, and our own Sadie Babits is there with a report. Also, Bill looks back at some unforgettable Vancouver fashions.

Rus Bradburd’s new book, Forty Minutes of Hell, tells the story of Nolan Richardson, who coached Arkansas to an NCAA basketball championship in 1994. Bill talks with the coach and the author about a groundbreaking basketball career.

The Winter Games are winding down, but Bill and Only A Game analyst Charlie Pierce just keep on rolling. They’ll discuss the week in sports, including a Vancouver recap, taking Bob Knight down a peg, and more misfortune for the Washington Wizards.

Sports teach kids organization, teamwork, and exercise. But for the young athletes of the Doc Wayne League, playing sports can teach much more. Only A Game’s Karen Given has our story.

This program aired on February 27, 2010.
